Panel Speaker

Panel speakers share their experience, strength, and hope with others in recovery. They:

  • Share their personal recovery story
  • Inspire others through their journey
  • Provide hope to those still struggling
  • Connect with the recovery community

Sober time requirement to speak on a panel is the Panel Leader's discretion.

Panel Leader

Panel leaders are responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of panel meetings. They:

  • Facilitate the panel discussion
  • Ensure the meeting runs smoothly
  • Manage time and transitions
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment
  • Attend H&I business meetings at least quarterly to stay updated and find speakers

Panel leaders typically have significant experience in recovery and leadership.

Panel Chair

Panel chairs oversee the administrative and logistical aspects of panel meetings. They:

  • Coordinate with facilities and speakers
  • Manage panel schedules and assignments
  • Handle communication between all parties
  • Ensure panel quality and consistency

Panel chairs are typically experienced members who understand both the recovery process and organizational needs.
